The metal roof (click images for a larger version)
Out of the weather... mostly. We had a professional do the roof deck and metal exterior and we're glad we did. They did such a nice job on the edges. Much better than I could have done.
You can see the vented ridge at the top of the roof. The metal color is Light Stone with a 30 yr. warranty on the paint. We wanted a light color to help keep inside temps. down under the summer sun.
The roofer recommended 1x12 decking. Solid stuff. We think it looks nice enough to leave as the interior finish, but we won't. We'll be insulating the ceiling, so all this gets covered.
